Knowledge doesn’t come without guidance

Pauline Milne

Many things we need in our daily life now have to be applied for online. Which, for a lot of people, is very difficult and/or stressful.
There are many examples. Applying for an Oyster card, a Blue Badge, housing benefits, completing council requests for benefit reviews are just a few.

You may want to learn how to do this and I can help you with that. Alternatively I will just help you fill in the forms.

Full disclosure – I charge for my time but there are organisations which will help you without charge.
AgeUK is the organisation I know personally. Check to see if there is a centre near you.

I worked in the IT industry for 22 years as a contractor.
Most recently this was in the rail industry, specifically in the ticketing area.
During that time I have become IT savvy.
I have also mentored younger colleagues regularly and worked on an IT help desk.

I have a current Enhanced Certificate from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) and regularly volunteer at AgeUK as a digital champion.

I will provide high-quality person IT tuition for adult learners.

This can be done on a one-to-one basis or with a small group of friends.

Basic computing skills for clients who wish to better utilise e-mails, browse the internet, do online shopping and online banking

I can also help you set up your own website to promote yourself or start a new business

HOW IT WORKS

Using the form below I will initially establish your basic requirements. I will then contact you and arrange an appointment for an assessment to see if my services are appropriate for you. This assessment will be for a half-hour and will not be chargeable. After the assessment, the charge is £30.00 for the first hour and £25.00 per hour thereafter. This would be at a mutually agreed location.
